Horizon not only prepared me for higher education but equipped me with the ability to adapt and excel in diverse environments. I went on to complete my undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Toronto, followed by a PhD in Renewable Energy Systems at ETH Zurich. Currently, I lead a research team focused on developing innovative solar energy solutions at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. I am grateful for the invaluable education and lifelong friendships forged at Horizon, shaping me into a confident and globally-minded individual ready to tackle any challenge."
"My time at Horizon Academy International School, particularly within the Arts Program, was instrumental in shaping my career as an artist. After graduating, I pursued my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins in London, followed by a Master's in Curatorial Studies at the Universitat de Barcelona. Today, I work as a contemporary visual artist with exhibitions across Europe and serve as Associate Curator at Galería Arte Contemporáneo in Barcelona. "Horizon Academy's diverse sports programs played a crucial role in my personal and professional development. The specialized academies for tennis and golf, coupled with a myriad of sports and activities, allowed me to discover my passion for athletics. Beyond honing my skills, the emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship has been invaluable in shaping my character.
The holistic approach to education at Horizon prepared me not only for athletic achievements but instilled qualities that extend far beyond the playing field. After graduation, I received a full tennis scholarship to the University of Melbourne, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Sports Science while competing at the collegiate level. I went on to play professionally on the ATP Tour for six years before transitioning into coaching. Today, I serve as Head Tennis Coach at the Singapore Sports Academy, where I train aspiring junior players from across Southeast Asia. As an alum, I am grateful for the well-rounded education and life skills that continue to contribute to my success."
